Navy EVAL Update: NAVFIT98A v33 Replaced eNavFit for Fleet Use

Reviewed July 17, 2026. Older guides that tell commands to start reports in eNavFit are outdated. MyNavyHR states that eNavFit stopped being available for Fleet use effective May 1, 2025.

NAVFIT98A v33 is the current Fleet version

NAVADMIN 159/25 made NAVFIT98A version 33 the sole Fleet version effective July 30, 2025. The release supports EVALs, FITREPs, and the revised CHIEFEVAL.

Do not put evaluation data on a personal computer

NAVADMIN 159/25 specifically says NAVFIT98A is not recommended for personal-computer installation because of the risk of compromising Social Security numbers. Use authorized government systems and follow command IT guidance.

Signatures still matter

The current MyNavyHR Performance Evaluation page warns that reports are being rejected for signature problems. The reporting senior must wet-sign using black or blue-black ink. The member also reviews the report, selects whether they intend to submit a statement, and wet-signs. Computer-generated, stamped, facsimile, or “by direction” reporting-senior signatures do not satisfy the instruction.

A practical command check

  • Confirm the workstation is using NAVFIT98A v33.
  • Keep personally identifiable information on approved systems.
  • Verify every required original signature before the summary group is sent.
  • Use the current MyNavyHR Performance Evaluation page instead of an old downloaded guide.
